This week I reviewed the new Motorola G60mid-range model (I would say it is big) which comes with some cool features that I’ll tell you about next.
In this version we have a phone with a large screen of 6.8 inches and a weight of 225 grams. On the back, we notice its plastic finish with a very nice design, with a choice of two colors: Gold and silver. In addition, the classic fingerprint reader in the brand logo.
It has a harbor USB-C for battery charging and the 3.5mm jack input, which allows wired headphones to be connected. On the right side of the screen we have the button that activates the Google assistant, the volume and the one to turn the phone on or off.
As I said at the beginning, I love its giant screen which delivers a resolution Full HD+ of 2460×1080 pixels, a pixel density of 396 PPI and an aspect ratio of 20.5:9. I have to say it works pretty well, with vivid colors and powerful brightness. We have a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which gives us a more than acceptable browsing speed. And like the other models, the frequency can be automatically adjusted according to the content of the screen (going from 60 to 120 Hz).
And the cameras? Among its features, on the back it has a triple camera consisting of a 108 megapixel main lens that allows you to record up to 4K at 30fps. The other two lenses are an ultra wide angle 8 megapixels at 118°, opening f/2.2, and a pixel size of 1.12μm; with a macro sensor 2 megapixels with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, there is a camera 32 megapixels with a pixel size of 1 µm and an f/2.2 aperture.
I have to say the cameras perform really well, especially the main one where you can see that Motorola has put a lot of dedication into it. The wide-angle camera gives very good results, the same goes for the front camera with its 32 megapixels. Here it is also important to mention that in the photo application we have many alternatives with filters, professional mode, filters, among others. I would like to highlight the good quality of the photos in portrait mode.
But if the phone is big, it will also need a battery capable of supporting this power. The new G60 is equipped with 6000mAh, which offers great autonomy, even exceeding the 10 hours of continuous use. Obviously I recommend to use the mobile phone with the automatic mode of hz in performance, because the load is much reduced if you use the screen refresh rate all the time in 120Hz. On the other hand, to recharge this battery, a 20 Watt fast charge charger is included.
The heart of the G60 is the chip Snapdragon 732Gin addition to one 6 GB of RAM. We have the factory storage of 128 GB, which I think is sufficient for what we will need. Although it is still compatible with the addition of a microSD card up to 1 TB. Its operating system is Android 11 with the My UX layer, which provides several classic functions of Motorola phones.
In conclusion, we are up against a formidable team, with the features of a high-end phone at an affordable price. In fact, putting together the 108MP camera, 6000mAh battery and 120Hz refresh rate, we have the winning trio in a smartphone. Recommended.
