There is less left!  HBO has officially wrapped filming on 'The Last Of Us'

The news was announced as part of Summer Game Fest 2022, where some official images from the series were also revealed. The first will take place in 2023.

The filming of the game adaptation The last of us finally finished this week. Filming for the series had begun in July 2021 and since then, at least a year of camerawork has been estimated. The premiere is scheduled for 2023.

From the hand of this news, during the Summer Game Fest 2022, some images of the characters have been revealed. Played by the Chilean Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie) they are shown to be very similar to the characters in the game.

The story, set in the horror genre and also action and adventure, takes place in a post-apocalyptic world after a pandemic has broken out in the United States. There, a virus has spread that turns humans into cannibals.

Years later, humanity is devastated and they encounter Joel and Ellie, who have been infected but appear to be immune to the virus. It means high hopes for the search for a cure, so Joel must protect it and overcome the obstacles that come with living in a broken society.

It was Carig Mazin, screenwriter and producer of the adaptation, who confirmed that the filming was finished.. The filmmaker posted a short message on Twitter on Saturday, celebrating a year’s work with locations across Western Canada.

In April, Pedro Pascal had commented on certain aspects of the series and how the video game loyalty process has been. “There’s a very, very creative way of honoring what’s important and preserving what’s iconic to the video game experience, and also including things that you wouldn’t necessarily expect,” a- he said in an interview with GQ UK.

In addition, noted that his character looked very interesting and that he liked the game, even though he couldn’t play it. “It’s so sad that I don’t have any skills. I tried, you know. And then it was only a matter of minutes before I had to hand it over to my nephew.”
