Over the past few months we have seen how Elon Musk has become a controversial person for multiple reasons, statements and actions that somehow made him go viral.
For a long time, the boy has been in the eye of the hurricane due to speculation about how #CryptoCrash and the whole issue of buying Twitter might have impacted his fortunes, which as time goes on, the more it looks like it could have been a ploy to manipulate the value of their shares.
At the same time, Musk has been seen to struggle with other areas of his empire, including Tesla Motors, which has struggled to maintain its production schedule.
In fact, there are models that are years behind in their launch, while vehicles that are already in series still have some complications.
At the time, Elon said he intended to cut his work force at the automaker by 10% if the current economic downturn continued. And now everything indicates that he will accomplish it.
Elon Musk kicks off Tesla cuts in Singapore
According to a CNBC report, Tesla’s workforce of 100,000 employees has begun its downsizing process.
All this after Elon Musk fired his regional manager in Singapore. Christopher Bousigues was responsible for overseeing the company’s operations in this country, but on June 11, 2022, he was removed from his position.
The interesting point here is that it was Bousigues himself who ended up confirming from his LinkedIn the connection of his dismissal to what Musk had warned long ago:

“Tesla has announced a 10% reduction in its workforce. My post has been selected for deletion as of today.
Last year, the team and I built the company from the ground up. When something like this happens, you wonder what the best course of action is, whether to keep a low profile or even shut up about it.
Ultimately, that’s not who I am. Transparency and honesty are non-negotiable for me, so sharing this news felt like the right thing to do.
The dramatic side of the case, as we can read, is that the regional executive has not even held this new position for very long.
Just in 2021, he had moved to Singapore to start his job and is now unemployed. This situation would then repeat itself with at least 10,000 Tesla employees.
