For 9 years, the Curiosity rover landed on Tuesday to send images that visually reveal the Red Planet, delivering postcards that had never been known in history.

The shocking images were taken on May 17 across the mast cam and those in charge of this mission have made no statement in this regard.
It was the SETI Institute, a non-profit research organization focused on the search for life in the Universe, which published on its social networks the one that was carried away by NASA’s robotic vehicle, the ‘ rover Curiosity’ on the surface of Mars, where these possible “trunks” are found, raising questions among users.
The organization said this photo was taken in Gale Crater on Mars, an area in the lowlands of the Elysium Planitia Plain. It is at coordinates 5.22° S, 137.49° E and has a diameter of 154 kilometers. In its center is a 5,500 meter high summit, the Aeolis Mons. The rover landed in this crater in 2012 because scientists believed it was the location of an ancient lake.

According to the SETI Institute, these rocks are likely “cemented fillers of ancient fractures in a sedimentary rock”, but this has not ceased to arouse the interest of users.
