Vince McMahon, now a former WWE CEO, is accused of “buying the silence” of women in the company to hide embezzlement.
WWEthe largest wrestling company in the world, is rocked by a scandal involving Vince McMahonits Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
The earthquake inside the company began after an investigation by the Wall Street Journal, where it was revealed that the renowned businessman had “bought” the silence of at least one official.
The top, according to the specialized site Solo Wrestling, to hide an embezzlement to a legal assistant with whom McMahon had an extramarital relationship.
“The closeness between him and the legal assistant was known to many in the company, and they even pointed out that he had obtained a substantial promotion in the midst of budget cuts in April 2021”, detailed the aforementioned media.
Already with the water up to the neck, Vince McMahon has chosen to resign from his WWE positions while the complaint against him for inappropriate conduct is being investigated.
Through a statement, the company confirmed the rumors and clarified that the businessman’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon, will take his place for as long as deemed necessary.

Meanwhile, the now former WWE CEO made a few statements in which he defended the company and promised to clarify what happened.
“I have agreed to cooperate fully with the Special Committee’s investigation and will do my best to support the investigation.. I also promised to accept the findings and outcome of the investigation, whatever they are,” the businessman said.
“I love this company and am committed to working with the independent directors to strengthen our culture and our business; It is extremely important to me that we have a safe and collaborative workplace,” added McMahon.
In closing, he emphasized that “I am committed to doing everything in my power to assist the special committee in carrying out its work, including cooperation from across the company to help complete the investigation and implement its conclusions.
